Nimbus Independent

Jeff has filled the roll of Nimbus Independant's resident director of photography for the last four years DP'ing the critically acclaimed film "After the Sky Falls".  He continues his collaboration with Nimbus on an untitled short film series (to be released fall 2019) featuring skier, artist, ski and clothing designer Eric Pollard.

Our friend Ryan from Wallrest tapped Nimbus and JWFP to produce the “The Wallrest Story” for the emerging Portland based startup. It was one of the more fun and challenging projects we’ve worked in the past couple of years. Rain and bad weather is often the bain of shooting projects in the Pacific Northwest. This project was no different but instead of wanting warm temps and blue skies we were hoping for cold and rain. With one of the driest and nicest summers on record and a looming deadline with no rain in sight we went to work “making it rain”. All of the rain shots in the video were “faked" with a custom setup we designed from scratch. As it often goes, putting on your creative hat to overcome some kind of obstacle often leads to a better finished project than just getting what you want from the get go.

Jeff teamed up with skier/director Eric Pollard as the Director of Photography for Nimbus Independent’s critically acclaimed release: “After the Sky Falls”.
